Our Purpose: “Quality Solutions Delivered on Time”

Ron Nind established Nind Electrical Services Ltd in 1977 out of a small workshop in Invercargill. Since then the business has grown in size and reputation. Today the company employs over 100 staff including a mix of Registered Electricians and Electrical Apprentices employed in Invercargill, Dunedin, Christchurch and Queenstown/Cromwelland has completed projects throughout the South Island.

Nind Dairy Services Ltd was setup as a standalone business in 2008 to focus solely on Dairy Farms throughout Southland and Otago - details of that business can be found here (need NDS link)

Nind Electrical has an administration base in Invercargill, which is also the core Branch of the business. The Invercargill branch services a wide range of customers including Industrial, Commercial and Residential. A recent major achievement was being the main electrical contractor on the Invercargill Central major rebuild including the HWR Tower project

The Nind Electrical Queenstown branch was established in 2000 and now operates from an Office Workshop based in 146 Glenda Drive, Frankton. This branch services clients involved in Property Development including Apartment Complexes and Substantial Residential Homes in Queenstown and surrounding areas including Central Otago including Wanaka, Cromwell & Alexandra. Nind Queenstown has recently been involved in two major Waste Water infrastructure upgrade projects at Wanaka (Project Pure) and Queenstown (Shotover)

Nind Electrical operates in Dunedin from the recently acquired Pace Electrical site at 154 Kaikorai Valley Road. This acquisition adds additional skillsets to service Industrial clients in Dunedin and Otago. It complements our existing Industrial client base. Nind Dunedin is also involved in Commercial and Residential projects

Our Christchurch Branch was established in 2012 in response to the ChCh Earthquakes. The team has since been involved with many rebuild projects particularly in the Industrial Parks near Hornby. Nind ChCh have also been involved with iconic buildings like Skellerup and OJI and more recently Hamilton Jet.

Nind Electrical Group has invested heavily into the Safety and Wellbeing of our staff. To that extent we have a qualified full time Health and Safety person plus a full time Human Resource professional employed at Nind. Nind ensures various pre-qualification certificates are renewed annually including Sitewise and Prequal – two commonly requested qualifications.

Worksafe Practices

Nind Electrical has invested heavily into Safety and Wellbeing. Nind has a full time Health & Safety Co-ordinator with a major focus on incremental improvement in our Safety outcomes. Nind has various Pre-Qualification certificates with the most commonly requested one being Sitewise which we update annually.
